RACE is a leading laboratory, solution provider and operator of robotics and autonomous systems. We are seeking a full-time Postdoctoral Research Engineer. The posts are funded by EPSRC and are fixed-term for 3 years. You will contribute to research strands as part of EPSRC`s hub for Robotics and Artificial Intelligence in Nuclear environments.

This research relates to development and application of deep learning techniques for robot visual perception in harsh environments. You will work with others to develop, test, and apply a range of computer vision techniques to automation of difficult tasks.

Knowledge skills and experience

-PhD in related field

-Demonstrated aptitude for research

-Deep understanding of machine learning techniques and computer vision

-Excellent communication skills

-Some demonstrable programming ability

-Experience with Python

-Experience working with robotics

-Professional Registration
