Application Process

- Technical interviews to be held in between 17th and 24th April 2018.
- You may also be invited to attend an assessment centre which will take place on Friday 4th May 2018


Knowledge skills and experience


Essential
Attend designated training facility (part-time), develop and attain a good knowledge of skills
-Complete national academic qualification (part-time) as defined by the apprenticeship training standard
-To become fully conversant with work-related legislative codes of practice.
-To become fully conversant with discipline-related principles
-To learn and undertake work tasks in accordance with approved documentation
-To learn and undertake activities associated to the discipline related role
-To learn the safe use of work equipment, tools and software.
-Represent the UKAEA Organisation and attend external outreach and careers events


Desirable
-Minimum of GCSE Mathematics (Higher Paper) and English Language passes to Grade C (level 4-9)
-Plus, three other GCSE passes to Grade C (level 4-9) For Engineering roles, to include a Natural Science, Technology or Engineering related subject
-Alternative Vocational Level 3 Qualification (90 credit Units, 540 GLH) accepted
-Good communication skills.
-Demonstrate an interest and aptitude for practical and office-based work



Special requirements:
-May be required to work with other trades and semi-skilled operatives in undertaking activities.
-May be required to work in controlled areas
-May be required to work at height
