This is an excellent opportunity to join UKAEA`s Accommodation & Administration Group. We deliver solutions to enable UKAEA staff to focus on their roles.
You will be working primarily in the visitor support and security vetting areas of our work with involvement in other areas when required. Working alone and as part of a small team this role requires enthusiasm, initiative and attention to detail.
Reporting to the Accommodation & Administration Manager in the Property Unit you will have a varied role:

-Responsibilities for the implementation of the departure arrangements and day to day management of the visitor (secondee) rooms. To be a member of the team implementing visitor (secondee) arrival arrangements.
-Deputy to the Secondee Assistance Administrator, ensuring that logistical support is in place for each secondee prior to their arrival on site.
-Security Administration. The efficient operation of the UKAEA`s security vetting checks - using judgement to manage exceptions and issues.
- You will soon gain a thorough knowledge of the running of the Pass Office and Vetting functions and the SWAC system.
- You will provide a back up role to the Pass Office function for 10-15 days per year.
- You will work with other staff to provide an efficient and professional Office Services role, providing solutions, advice and information to users.
-You will support the company telecoms, providing a helpdesk and troubleshooting service on pagers and telephones.

The UKAEA hosts and manages the JET nuclear fusion energy experiment on behalf of the EU and is also home to the UK`s MAST-U fusion energy experiment. UKAEA also works with industry and other third parties to develop new technologies currently in Remote Handling and Materials research. Following recent UK funding two new centres of excellence in tritium fuel handling and component testing and validation are being built. Knowledge skills and experience


Essential
-The role requires a range of administrative skills
-Confidentiality is paramount
-Effective communicator, both written and orally.
-GCSEs or equivalent in relevant subjects.
-A flexible attitude to their work and enthusiasm to undertake such tasks as are allocated by management
-Excellent organisational skills
